Class of 92 and Friends play out entertaining 4-4 draw with Salford City

Several Manchester United greats rolled back the years on Sunday... with a little help from some former rivals!

Salford City co-owners Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt were joined by ex-Old Trafford star Dwight Yorke, as well as former Liverpool men Jamie Carragher and Steve McManaman in a friendly game against the club's first team to mark the opening of the Peninsula Stadium.

Salford City played a Class of 92 and Friends team to celebrate the opening of The Peninsula Stadium.

The Class of 92 line-up included nine full internationals.

However, it was one of the other two players, who took the early plaudits with the opening goal of the game.

It wasn't just on the pitch that fans could find Old Trafford legends, with Sir Alex Ferguson and Denis Laws among those watching on.

Webber went on to complete a hat trick, with Yorke also scoring in an entertaining 4-4 draw.

After the game ended, Gary Neville sought to accentuate the positives.

For the record, the final score marked an improvement for the Class of '92, who were beaten 5-1 when the teams met three years ago! No doubt they'll be looking for the win next time.
