Ryan Giggs can't wait for clash with Liverpool

MANCHESTER UNITED assistant boss Ryan Giggs reckons the upcoming crunch clash with Liverpool is exactly what the Red Devils need after the international break.

Louis van Gaal's men will take on their Merseyside rivals on Saturday evening.

And Giggs reckons the match is exactly what his players need to kick-start their season.

He said: “Liverpool is the perfect game to have to come back to after the international break.

“Old Trafford will be bouncing for a late kick-off. All the players are looking forward to it and I’m sure the fans are too.

"Liverpool is always a special game and it’s even more special when you win, so we can’t wait.”

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney will be on a high having broken Sir Bobby Charlton's England goal record while on international duty against Switzerland.

The ex-Everton ace dispatched a powerful penalty to write his name into the history books for his country.
