Franco Baresi names Ryan Giggs in Perfect XI

AC Milan legend Franco Baresi has selected Manchester United hero Ryan Giggs in his all-time greatest XI alongside the likes of Maradona and Paulo Maldini.

The evergreen Manchester United star continues to defy his advancing years by playing a major role for Sir Alex Ferguson's side as they bid to win a 20th league title this season.

Ryan Giggs named in top 10 best ever Champions League players

Manchester United’s Ryan Giggs has been announced as the sixth best player in Champions League history, according to the tournament’s official magazine.

The Welshman is the top Brit in the list of 50 that sees Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard in tenth, with former United players Paul Scholes and David Beckham also featuring in the top 20.

Giggs who lifted the trophy in 1999 and 2008 is the tournament’s oldest goal scorer and has scored in more seasons than any other player.

Sir Alex Ferguson is planning a sensational ­summer swoop for France legend Zinedine Zidane’s teenage son.

Enzo Zidane, 16, is with his famous father’s old club Real Madrid and earning rave ­reviews.

But Zidane Sr reckons a move to Manchester United would benefit his boy’s ­career, and Old Trafford boss Fergie already has ­Enzo on his radar. Juventus are also tracking Enzo, who – like his Dad – is an ­attacking midfielder.

Manchester United want to sign Enzo Zidane, son of former World Footballer of the Year Zinedine Zidane, according to Gazzetta dell Sport.

The 16-year-old is currently with Real Madrid but is interesting plenty of Europe's elite, namely Juventus.

But along with two of Zidane senior's former club come United, who are the front runners for the Frenchman's signature.

United have competition with Belgian side Standard Liege, who want to sign the attacking midfielder on loan.

Zidane, Figo And Giggs Star In Soccer Aid Charity Match

A star-studied Rest of the World line-up beat England on penalties in a charity match for Soccer Aid at Old Trafford. 

The friendly raised over £2 million for charity UNICEF and featured a host of ex-players and celebrities.
