Manchester United legends to visit Malta in June

Manchester United are set for a great treat next month after it was announced yesterday that club legends Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Bryan Robson and Paddy Crerand will be travelling to Malta for a Gran Gala Dinner at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta on June 16.

The event is being held by the world’s oldest Manchester United Supporters Club branch on the occasion of their 60th anniversary.

This was announced by Joseph Tedesco, the MUSC Malta president, during a press conference at the club premises on Saturday which featured the prestigious UEFA Europa League trophy that was brought over to Malta by the English Premier League club.

“For us this is a special year for our club as we are celebrating the club’s 60th anniversary from our foundation,” Tedesco said.

“The club has been celebrating this event for the last few months, starting with a charity match last year between the Valletta FC legends and the Man. United legends at the Centenary Stadium, as well as a Gran Gala Dinner in Manchester last January.

“Today we are here at the club to display the Europa League trophy won by the club in 2017. Having this trophy here is a landmark achievement for us as it means that MUSC Malta has managed to bring to our country all the trophies won by the club since 1991.

“But our celebrations will not stop here. Next month, we will be hosting a Gran Gala Dinner at the Mediterranean Conference Centre which will see the participation of great United players such as Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Bryan Robson, Nicky Butt and Paddy Crerand.

“We urge our fans in Malta to buy a ticket for this important occasion for our club which will surely remain in the minds of those who will be attending.”
